Who’s the HOTTEST damn band in the land?!??!?!
If you didn’t scream out “THE REBIRTH BRASS BAND” from the top of your lungs than you don’t know nothing! It’s hard to believe that Rebirth formed their Grammy Award Winning band 29 years ago but it’s true! And just like we celebrate everything else in New Orleans, WE’RE THROWING A PARTY! Come out Saturday, May 26th to The Howlin Wolf to witness a once in a lifetime event as we pay homage to & party with New Orleans’ favorite band!
On Friday & Saturday night, Rebirth will take the stage with SURPRISE Special Guest performances going on all night. It’s a Brass Band PARTY so when we say ALL NIGHT we mean ALL NIGHT! Also, Rebirth knows how much their Grammy means to you so their bringing it with em! Just as our beloved Saints paraded their Lombardi Trophy around town, Rebirth is going to make sure that everyone who played a part in their success has a chance to revel in it as well. We’re back with more amazing performers for you here at The Howlin Wolf. This Friday The Donkey’s plus Buxton will be in The Den and it’s sure to be a good time. These guys have been on the road all year and they decided to stop in New Orleans to jam with the coolest people in the land. It’s that time again….for burlesque with a twist at the Howlin Wolf! Slow Burn Burlesque is putting on their “most glamorous, over the top theatrical burlesque shows ever staged.” This month’s theme is “Hollywood Babylon,” a wild tribute to Kenneth Anger’s book about Hollywood scandals during the Golden Age, and is directed by Kitty Twist.
The members of Slow Burn will be paying homage to the Golden Age by performing as some of Hollywood’s most famous (or should we say infamous) stars involved in the glamorous dramatic happenings from the 1900’s to the 1950’s. From Ava Gardner to Charlie Chaplin to Marilyn Monroe, this show is sure to blow your mind! Slow Burn Burlesque is bringing Kenneth Anger’s book to life on the Howlin Wolf stage!

This Saturday, May 12th, at The Howlin Wolf it’s NO LAW’s Matriarchal Mayhem Maytime BRAWL! Come see some of NOLA’s finest ladies duke it out; all for a good cause. Proceeds from the event will benefit Covenant House and help them continue to provide vital services in our city. Get your tickets here & in the ladies words, not ours, “Expect brawling babes, flashy half time performances and so much goodness.” It’s going to be a really fun night and they encourage participation. Show # 9 Fest By Night, Saturday May 5, 2012: The Original Meters + Papa Grows Funk, and Rebirth Brass Band
Even though The Howlin’ Wolf was rockin’ til the early morn at the Bayou Rendezvous last night, we’re back at it tonight with another showing of epic-ness! The Original Meters are blessing the Howlin’ Wolf stage in front of a sold out crowd for their first New Orleans club show in 30 years!!! Art Neville, Leo Nocentelli, George Porter Jr., and Zigaboo Modeliste were the soulful sound of the sixties and are true ambassadors of New Orleans funk. But the funk doesn’t stop there…we had to bring Papa Grows Funk back to get the party started!! If you were lucky enough to get a ticket, prepare yourself to witness a legendary showing of funk masters!
If you weren’t lucky enough to snatch one, Rebirth Brass Band will also be hitting the stage tonight! Tickets will be available at the door after The Meters perform. Fest By Night is coming to a close, but we’re going out in style! See y’all tonight!

Come one, come all to The Howlin Wolf for the 10th Annual Bayou Rendezvous! Now, before you get all excited, let me tell you exactly what you’ll be getting this Friday because this is THE show you don’t want to miss.
With Show # 8, we’re promising you some damn good music and a damn great time! Live at The Howlin Wolf, this Friday, May 4th will be The Pimps of Joytime, Papa Grows Funk ft The Bonerama Horns, The New Orleans Allstars, The Malone Brothers, Good Enough for Good Times, Monophonics, Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band, Eric McFadden, The Sunrise Breakfast Jam & Special Guest ALL NIGHT!!! Now doesn’t that sound like a good time.
This party is going to go into the wee hours of the morning but don’t worry about packing a snack because we’ve got all the food, fun and funk taking care of. Over the years, we’ve gotten to know a couple of you who seem to make it out every year. No matter where people are around the world, it seems like they make it back to New Orleans for this night. We appreciate that! So whether you’re a ‘Rendezvous Regular’ or this is your first time joining us for our little Rendezvous on the Bayou, you’re sure to have a good time.

If you missed last night’s Megalomaniacs Ball, don’t worry, we’re having another one tonight! It’s that time of year again folks, tonight is the 5th Annual Royal Family Ball, sponsored by Jam Cruise. It’s gonna be a funk fest full of Royal Family artists!
Soulful singers Nigel Hall and Alecia Chakour will be starting the show on the main stage at 9. We’re saving the funk for last as Soulive and Lettuce will be ending the night off right. Get ready to dance, drink, and be merry at the 5th Annual Royal Family Ball! Get tickets here.
