After 3 days of non-stop musical excellence here at #FestByNight, we take one night to recognize the vital role music plays in our city. Show #4 of #FestByNight is “The Doctor Is In”, A Benefit for Roots of Music, Sweet Home New Orleans and Trombone Shorty’s Horns for Schools Program.
Now when we say “benefit”, we you don’t want you to think this is going to just be like any ole’ benefit. This will be the loudest, funkiest benefit in the history of benefits! We’ve got ReBirth Brass Band, Big Sam, Kermit Ruffins & the Barbecue Swingers, Jeremy Davenport, Baby Boyz Brass Band, YoJimbo and many, MANY more! I don’t know exactly how many more but this is New Orleans! You never know who might be strolling by coincidentally carrying their horn on a night like this. Also, right next door, we’ll have the Hot 8 Brass Band blowing it down in The Den!

Be sure to come out tonight because there won’t be any shows on Monday. We figured we’d give your ear drums a little break. Most of you aren’t from New Orleans and we veterans know that the key to good festin’ is all about pacing yourself.
